Josie exudes a sleek mid-century aesthetic, using the hand-crafted technique of monoprinting. Rolled ink yields an array of unpredictable marks, giving rise to a varied spectrum of textures and viscosities. Cut and collaged onto paper, its tulip-shaped flowers are complemented by oil pastel details and layers of digital colour, blurring the lines between geometry and abstraction. This one-of-a-kind pattern serves as an ode to acclaimed artist Lucienne Day and her famously graphic floral forms. This print is part of the second chapter of this collection, Collaboration, which reflects the current design teams celebration of the techniques and styles of their predecessors – bridging the gap between past and present.
